Young People Making a Difference Program
Active since 1971, our school has produced countless graduates, and today our alumni pursue successful careers across the U.S. as police officers, lawyers, academicians, doctors, bankers, and in many other fields.
Although our school serves students aged 5–14, it always prioritizes instilling in our students the idea of viewing our school as their second home.
With this vision, we have launched the Young Changemakers Program to enable our high school students to complete their community service hours and contribute to their communities!
Program Participation Requirements
Must be a high school student
Must be residing in the United States
Being a current student or graduate of the Atatürk School is not required (priority is given to graduates)
No prior volunteering experience is required
Priority is given to students who can understand and speak Turkish.
International and Local Opportunities
As a UNDGC accredited association, we offer our graduates and Turkish youth opportunities to make their voices and ideas heard on international platforms such as the United Nations.
Additionally, thanks to our collaborations with other associations in America such as ATAA, TACAWA, ETAC, and The Light Millennium, we keep our youth informed about various events and projects; interested students can also participate in these programs.
Why Should You Join?
This program connects our youth with creative, educational, and socially beneficial activities.
We look forward to welcoming all high school students who wish to create, share, and contribute to society together.
